Fillbrandt and her team created an award-winning environment for a powder room that was a unique combination of French Art Nouveau and modernism. While many would find the challenges they faced, including the very small space, to be limiting, this team developed a functional design solution that was luxurious and visually compelling.
With some creative thinking, an understanding of proportion and an eye for whimsy, Stephanie Marsh Fillbrandt, of Marsh & Clark Design, was able to turn a small, dated and otherwise negligible space into a light and airy crowd-pleaser—all within a three-month time period.
The powder room was only three feet wide, and I wanted it to feel as expansive as possible. Instead of hanging art, I let the arabesque pattern of the floor tile creep up onto the wall. It adds visual interest and draws the eye upward to the Venetian plaster, a beautiful blue that makes you feel like you’re floating underwater, or gliding in the sky.
We love the relationship between the floor and window, the soft blue Venetian plaster walls, and the slim cantilevered vanity made to fit the equally slim room.
Luminous. Innovative. Extraordinary Craftsmanship. Stephanie Marsh Fillbrant transformed a narrow, classic San Francisco powder room into an airy and artful space.
One of the best solution I’ve ever seen in a mix of sauna + Bathroom using wood and carrara marble. Extremely creative. Congratulations!!
