Owner/Principal Designer

Stephanie Marsh Fillbrandt

Stephanie Marsh Fillbrandt, founder of the award-winning Marsh & Clark Design, has been crafting timeless and inviting interiors since 2006. A Wyoming native with a deep appreciation for wide-open spaces and honest materials, she brings a grounded warmth to her work—elegant yet approachable, polished yet personal.

Specializing in residential interiors, MCD is known for its seamless integration of architecture and design, its refined use of color and texture, and its dedication to custom craftsmanship. Under Stephanie’s leadership, the firm has become one of San Francisco’s most respected names in design—celebrated for creating sophisticated, relaxed spaces that feel as good as they look.

Outside the studio, Stephanie is a proud mom to two teenage boys, a spirited pup named Buddy, and a husband who’s been by her side since high school. Her life—like her work—is filled with heart, intention, and a love of beauty that endures.

Architect

Jean Orino

Originally from New England, Jean brings over two decades of architectural expertise to the team, with a portfolio that spans both high-end residential and commercial design. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to make complex ideas feel clear and accessible make her an invaluable part of the MCD process. Equal parts creative and analytical, Jean balances her architectural work with a lifelong passion for painting. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find her traveling, skiing, or immersed in art and conversation with fellow creatives.

Senior Designer

Alvaro Echeverri

Born in Colombia and now a longtime San Franciscan, Alvaro brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep love of architecture to every project. With a background in both interior and architectural design, as well as hands-on experience in construction and project management, he approaches each space with both creativity and precision. Alvaro is a keen observer—often spotted admiring the details of a building, not because he’s lost, but because he’s captivated. Say hello if you see him around—but don’t be surprised if he greets your dog first. It’s nothing personal.

With an intuitive feel for community and comfort, she brings heart and energy to every space she touches. Outside of work, you’ll find her around a campfire, spinning clay on the wheel, or preparing a meal for friends—always seeking beauty in the everyday. Her fresh perspective and enthusiasm make her a vital part of the MCD team.
